So you’re telling me Happy from Iron Man is directing an adaptation of The Jungle Book?  And so far, no single outlet seems to be able to agree if it’ll be live action with all people, live action with CGI animals, or animated with live action animals.

What they CAN agree on however is that Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o will play Rakcha, the mother wolf who adopts  Mowgli.  Scarlett Johansson reportedly will provide the voice of Kaa, a python who hypnotizes and eats other animals.  And the main villain Shere Khan will be voiced by Idris Elba.  No word yet on a Mowgli, Baloo, or King Louie.

“The Jungle Book” opens on October 9, 2015.
