Aw yeah!

I bring you good news! The Titanic Avatar (see what I did there?) that is James Cameron has said that he plans to wrap up all this Avatar non-sense by 2017 and begin work on Battle Angel Alita!

What’s Battle Angel? You shut your filthy mouth and go read it!

*AHEM*

Sorry about that. Battle Angel is a Japanese graphic novel series about a kick ass cyborg with memory issues. Here’s a brief summary of the first book:

When Doc Ido, a talented cyberphysician, finds Alita’s head in a junk heap, she has lost all memory of her past life. But when he reconstructs her, she discovers her body still instinctively remembers the Panzer Kunst, the most powerful cyborg fighting technique ever known. In the postapocalyptic world of the Scrapyard, as the secrets of Alita’s past unfold, each day is a struggle for survival.

(If you do read it, skip the sequel series called Last Order, I’m not a fan.)

Personally, I’ve been waiting since, what, the 90’s? The turn of the millenium? for this movie. I was peeved when Cameron announced that either he was going to do Avatar or Battle Angel and he went with the former.

Mr. Cameron, don’t make another underwater movie before Battle Angel– just make Battle Angel. Please. Pretty please. With cybernetic sugar on top?
