This week has been CRAZY for details on upcoming tv shows, as the Television Critics Association summer press tour has been going on and tidbits have been served.  At the end of NBC’s Hannibal second season, the future of several characters seemed up in the air.  One of those was Laurence Fishburne’s Jack Crawford, a character that fans of the Thomas Harris novels (which Manhunter,  Silence of The Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon, and Hannibal Rising the films are based on) will recognize.

The AV Club reports that during the latest junket for the TCA, Fishburne said he was returning for the third season, despite rumors his involvement in the new ABC series Blash-ish:

Though he didn’t go into specifics, Fishburne noted that he’ll only be a recurring presence on both  Hannibal and Black-ish this year, an arrangement he made to continue his involvement with both series. Similarly, executive producer Larry Wilmore will split his time between two shows this season, shepherding Black-ish for its first 12 episodes.
