People.com announced that the cult classic series “The Tick” might be on its way back.  To add to this it was also claimed that original star Patrick Warburton aka David Puddy is set to reprise his role.

People.com also reported that the original series would potentially go live on Amazon. Amazon has been in the process of developing their own content similar to that of Netflix.   Not only will Warburton come back but so will series creator Ben Edlund. Nothing is confirmed yet so assume this strictly as rumor and check back here for future confirmation.

The original series of “The Tick” ran on FOX for just nine episodes from 2001 to 2002 and was based on the comic of the same name by Edlund. An animated series based on the character also aired on FOX from 1994 to 1996 and has also gone on to achieve a cult status among fans.
