In the Danish building block companies quest to acquire the rights to...well…practically everything, they’ve managed to gain Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Marvel and DC, and many more. Today, announced via Comic-Con New York, they make it one step closer to building every maniacs licensing fantasy. Lego has officially acquired the rights to produce sets based off of the NEW Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles relaunch. While predominately under cover, they have reveal a few sneak peeks at some of the up-and-coming mini-figs and one tubular set, The Shellraiser Street Chase 79104. No word on whether or not they will be able to produce classic-based sets for us aging 80’s enthusiasts, my childhood is screaming for a nunchaku-swinging Michelangelo, but Lego has certainly reaffirmed itself as the hot item for this Holiday season. Now if there’s anything good and great in this world…bring on Ghosbusters!
