If you're a SciFi fan, you may remember Painkiller Jane from 2005. But, if you're an indy comics fan, perhaps you and Jane go back to 1997. When Dynamite started publishing her book, they also had the Terminator license. Marketing Idea: Make 'em fight!

The 1990s offered up some ... interesting ... changes for our long-lived fan-favorites. In Action #709, Guy Gardner is no longer a Green Lantern ... he's going by his Warrior persona. At the event, Jess and his girlfriend, Harmony Maxwell, attempt to convince the Thing that a heroic Scarecrow watches over them (events seen in Dead of Night #11 and Marvel Spotlight #26). Despite all he's seen in his life as a super-powered adventurer, Ben Grimm doesn't buy their story of a vigilant spirit that emerges from a painting.

As the culmination of unparalleled expectation approaches, Christopher Nolan is set to demolish all sorts of unprecedented box office records. Now often considered to be the definitive Batman film series, there’s an ingredient of subjectivity that comes along with comparing and contrasting one artist to the next. After all, Nolan didn’t so much make Batmanas as much as Batman made Nolan, no one artistic representation outliving the caricature itself. So to celebrate the enduring livelihood of the Dark Knight, alongside his latest cinematic expose, I’m going to take a retrospective look at each and every theatrical variation leading into the Dark Knight trilogy.
