Rumors have been flying back and forth with respect to Mr. Channing Tatum and his involvement in the upcoming Gambit film. At one point it was in in jeopardy of even being made. Other rumors had it that Channing Tatum was going to quit and join the Ghostbusters in a all male cast version.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the deal has now closed for the actor to star and produce. According to reports Tatum’s deal could be for possibly a decade or more, much like that of Hugh Jackman. So here is hoping he doesn’t suck. Else we might have to really struggle through the upcoming X-Men properties that Fox produces.

The film is planned to go before cameras in October for an October 7, 2016 release.
