Columbia Pictures’ Ghostbusters Reboot has finally showcased its first official footage for the upcoming film.  It is about time that we finally got a taste for this film. I still to this day will argue that this is a reboot we do not need and had they made this a sequel I would not be bitching as much as I currently have about this film. But I still am interested to see what it will finally be at the end of the day. The official trailer comes out 3/3/2016

 

Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) and Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later, Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Yates and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.

Cast includes Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, and Chris Hemsworth.  It is directed by Paul Feig and written by Katie Dippold and Paul Feig.

Filming is expected to last through the summer, and Sony has plans to release the finished cut in theaters July 22, 2016.
