star_wars__han_solo-is-old1Internet is abuzz today with murmurs of the supposed return of everyone’s favorite roguish space smuggler. While Harrison Ford is seemingly suffering from flip-flopping opinion on the subject matter, countless reliable sources – HERE –  are reporting that Ford is practically confirmed for a significant reprisal of the role that guided him to his 2000 Lifetime Achievement Award. Yet this seems suspect considering his almost resentment toward Han Solo in recent years. He even went as far as to support and encourage not-to-be concepts of his premature demise (along with screenplay writer Lawrence Kasdan) in the climax of Return of the Jedi. Yet contradictory, Entertainment Weekly reported – HERE – that he had some interest in returning to the now J. J. Abrams throned sequel trilogy. Considering the conflicting reports this should all be taken with a grain of salt…yet could this be the return of the aged but surely apt pirate to protagonist rebel? And perhaps more on point, could this really be just an excuse to finally, considering the confirmed return of Lawrence Kasdan to the writers desk, kill off the suave captain of the Millennium Falcon? Regardless of Episode VII, it seems some form of Han is destined to grace the big screen – HERE –  in the near future.
