Hope all you intergalactic travelers have your towels ready, because it sounds like “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” is coming to Hulu as a tv series.
The classic science fiction novel by Douglas Adams has had several adaptations, but this new version for Hulu would come from ABC Signature, the cable/streaming division of ABC Studios, both of which are owned/operated by Disney. (It’s worth noting that Walt Disney Studios produced the 2005 Garth Jennings-directed version.)
Deadline says that Carlton Cuse (“LOST,” “The Strain”) and Jason Fuchs (“Wonder Woman”) will write and executive produce.
No word on where in the production phase “Hitchhiker’s Guide” may be in, but chances are it’ll be a bit with Cuse currently working on “Locke & Key” over at Netflix.
We’ll of course let you know what we hear about this project. A round of pangalactic gargleblasters all around!
