Looks like General Zod is not the only one pitted against Superman in the upcoming Superman film, Man of Steel. Superman may have another villain to face. Tahmoh Penikett of Battlestar Galactica has been rumored to be cast as Henry Ackerdson a.k.a Metallo. Metallo is the half-man, half-robot with kryptonite in his chest. Superman may have 2 powerful villains on the way.

General Zod was originally portrayed by Terence Stamp in Superman 1 and 2.  Stamp also provided the voice of Jor-El in several episodes of Smallville, so he’s no stranger to the Superman family. Metallo was first played by Brian Austin Green in 2 Smallville episodes. Good luck to new actors Michael Shannon and Penikett. Man of Steel hits the big screen on June 14th.
