Hey folks,it looks like Batman’s ally, Commissioner Gordon, is getting his own TV show according to both moviepilot.com and wired.com. The new show is called Gotham, and will feature Gordon as a homicide detective!! The show will air on Fox, which lets hope means it will be good… since after all its been a while since Fox has aired GOOD television.

This more than likely is Fox’s attempt to combat the new TV show S.H.I.E.L.D..  Gotham,which will be Batman prequel, is being developed by creator of the show The Mentalist, Bruno Heller.

This is not the first time that the boys in blue of Gotham City have had there stories told.  There was originally a comic called Gotham Central, written by Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka, which showcased the challenge of the G.C.P.D. in a city being destroyed by lunatics in masks

Either way I look forward to seeing what might be done with this story. Here is hoping that they actually spend some time on developing this script and not just running into the fires to try and out muscle Marvel… We have seen those attempts in the past DC… they never work out well…
