Today while searching the internet (NO not for porn… at least not at 9am… while at work). I stumbled upon a post from Mango Sirene (A cosplayer). She made a video about parents and their cosplaying kid. Its really cute!
The following is the post from Mango Sirene:
When you’re first getting into cosplay, it can be difficult explaining the hobby to your parents. And as a parent, it can be even harder understanding why, exactly, your kid suddenly wants to dress up like cartoon characters and run around at those nerdy comic events you hear about on TV.
Maybe your kid has mentioned wanting to cosplay, but you have no idea what it is. Or maybe you’re trying to figure out how to tell your parents about cosplay. I could sit here and tell you all about how wonderful cosplay is and that it’s one of the best hobbies out there, but I’m also someone who’s been cosplaying since she was 15, so I have a bit of a bias! Therefore it may not mean as much, coming from me.
Instead, my parents are here to talk to you about cosplay! Like I said, I’ve been cosplaying since I was a teenager, so my mom and dad have seen it all by this point, and they can provide some “expert” advice when it comes to cosplay, attending conventions, and parenting. Watch their video here:
