So I was up late last night having a hard time falling asleep, I walked around my recently purchased house, tucked in my boys and kissed my wife Abby on the forehead while she slept. It was at that moment I realized everything I have today I owe to Ghostbusters!

I know what your thinking “That’s silly” but hear me out as a kid that grew up with my brother Chris and we loved Ghostbusters, it was that love that in the fall of 2003 we were trying to figure out what to do for Halloween. We decided to dress up as Ghostbusters along with our close friend Steve and we went out and found jumpsuits and did name tags and made logos for our van. That lead us to go Haunted house hoping in our suits throughout October.

We then met the owner of House of the living dead on Halloween and offered us work for the following year when I told him we had Equipment we were making for next year. In 2004 we worked at the haunted house at Sports Plus and there was a beautiful girl that was a bartender there named Abby. We quickly fell in love and the rest is history.

So say what you will, but if it wasn’t for Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Ivan Reitman making a funny movie that would influence my childhood and adult hood I don’t know where I would be today. So thank you for everything Mr Ramis! Your funny movie helped guide me into the man I am today. The heavens just got a little lighter with you there! See you on the other side!
