Disney Channel will be getting an animated series based on the 2010 hit “Tangled,” with stars Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi set to reprise their big screen roles.

The show is expected to air in 2017 premiere. The series is set between the film Tangled and the 2012 short “Tangled Ever After,”

The “Tangled” series is produced by Disney Animation Television and developed by animation veterns Chris Sonnenberg (“Enchanted”) and Shane Prigmore (“The LEGO Movie”). Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater will reunite for the project.
