Malekith began his lordship of the dark elves of Svartalfheim in Walt Simonson’s reinvented 80’s Thor run and now has entered the stage for dominate billing in Thor: The Dark World. In one of the more memorable conflicts with the thunder God, the Accursed gained control of the Casket of Ancient Winters, a slight spin on the Pandora myth, and released its frigid elemental ice age upon Midgard. Drawing from very high fantasy the likes of which feel Conan the Barbarian or Tolkien-esque, Malekith and his Hellboy: The Golden Army dark elf warriors are sure to scourge all dimensions.
