Underworld was franchise lead by the lovely Kate Beckinsale, that now has a similar fate to that of Resident Evil. Where it had a good to great (depending on who you ask) first movie that then spawned pointless sequels.  Well it seems that Underworld is getting… wait for it… Rebooted…

Yes Christian Bale my sentiment exactly. Confused and down right shocked. It was created back when I was in high school. To date myself that was 2003. Thats just over 10 years… So why reboot it? Well according to the  Hollywood Reporter, Lakeshore Entertainment is developing an Underworld reboot and will have Priest writer Cory Goodman to developing the screenplay.

Gary Lucchesi and Tom Rosenberg will produce the new film for Lakeshore. It is being referred to as a reboot, but still it’s hard to say exactly what that means as far as whether or not the new film will maintain any continuity with previous entries.
