Renaissance Italy. Golden age of Piracy. The American Revolution. Victorian London. Modern day Canada. Sure, seems like a library collection right? In a way, it is. Ubisoft’s hugely popular game franchise Assassin’s Creed has released tales set in all these time periods, as well as others. And come December, we’ll get yet another story, but this time on the big screen.

Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender), a descendant of the mysterious secret society the Assassins, must use his deadly skills to battle the powerful Templar organization. Director Justin Kurzel who previously worked with Fassbender on the recent Macbeth, along with Marion Cotillard who in Assassin’s Creed will play Sophia Rikkin. The cast also includes Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson and Michael Kenneth Williams.
Assassin’s Creed is set to open worldwide on December 21st 2016.
