Announced in February, Mega Construx’s line of Pokemon building block sets have finally hit store shelves. These eye catching sets are reasonably priced, can help pass the afternoon, and add a little flair to any space.

The sets range from $6.99-$29.99 and are made up of 20-350 pieces. Reviewer Michael Wirth noticed these in his local Gamestop and decided to play it safe, starting with the smaller Eevee Pokeball:

” When I got home, it took me about ten minutes to put together (which really only took that long because I kept dropping all the pieces.) Once the figure was complete, I was hooked. At first it looked a little janky with the thick little legs and awkward tuft of fur on its chest but eventually all that became part of its charm.”

After completing a few smaller pieces, he dove into Charizard, which took about an hour to complete. Overall, the high points are these are affordable, represent the characters well, and are great on display. On the other hand they can be a bit difficult to construct, could use more articulation, and need clearer building instructions.
