While it might have been one of the lowest opening grosses for a Marvel movie in a while it still opened at #1 in this past weekend.
IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ANT-MAN *SPOILERS AHEAD*.
At the end of Ant-Man Scott Lang saves the day and stops Darren Cross from taking over the world in his Yellowjacket suit. BUT there was one lose end Mitchell Carson! In an interview with CinemaBlend, director Peyton Reed explained the alternate ending that dealt with Carson.
“At the end of the movie he gets away and has these Cross particles, and there was a sequence where Ant-Man has an encounter with him,” Reed confirms. “But then for a couple reasons, it felt like maybe we should leave those particles out there. In that original thing, he took Martin Donovan out and got the particles.”
This now opens up the question of where will those particles end up? What type of power will they hold in the upcoming phase?
