– What are your goals as an artist?: To draw, produce, and own my own publications. To completely blend all elements of my art/design and writing styles into one cohesive entity.

– What do you think of Comics being made into movies?: You have the Golden Age of Comics, the Silver Age, Modern Age, and now the Cinematic Age. I believe the next step will be the Interactive Age, when, thru future devices like Occulus Rift, you’ll be able to become the Superhero instead of just watching it on TV. It’s all part of the cultural zeitgeist.

– Has reading a Comic ever changed your life? Which one/why?: Comics like Spawn, Bone, TMNT, and Cerebus taught me the benefits of self publishing. The reality is it took along time for me to get the nerve to do it myself.

– If you could have any power from a Comic character, what would it be/why?: Healing Factor hands down. To stay young and healthy for a long time is fine by me.

– Favourite artist of all time/why?: Todd McFarlane. He could have easily collected a paycheck at Marvel and instead used that fame to build his own media company.

– What do you prefer to snack on when creating a masterpiece?: Black coffee, super hot, no sugar or cream.

– Are you superstitious in any way?: Nope.

– Where do you ‘draw’ your daily inspiration from?: Depends on the subject material but overall it’s usually stuff I grew up with. I relate and find inspiration in those creators, from Bill Waterson, Todd McFarlane, Jeff Smith, to James Cameron.

– Have you ever tasted Vegemite? How was this experience if so?: No I get my vitamins from natural whole foods, I don’t eat too many things from a jar lol.

– Likes: Sleep, good hot coffee, small dogs and cats, Kickstarter, Drew Struzan, James Cameron, Hayao Miyazaki and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.

– Dislikes: Corporate Sales reps, trademark trolls, Comic Conventions that put artists in the far back next to wrestling mats and overcharge for booths, fast food.

 

– If you could live anywhere, where would it be/why?: Switzerland, I was stationed in Germany in the Army and spent a lot of time across the border. Austria is lovely as well. I really relate to the atmosphere in that part of the world.

– Favourite joke: King dot com stating “ “King does not clone other peoples’ games” when all of their games are actual clones. I find that very funny lol.
