Artist continued profile. Let’s get a tiny bit personal:

– What are your goals as an artist?: I would like to share my style and ideas with the world. I would love to get into more galleries, event/band poster work, and keep creating books and doing covers of my favorite characters. I just want to be on my death bed when I’m 1000 years old and think, “Yeah, I did pretty good.” X.X

– Favourite artist/why?: Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh. I find a lot of ties to her and her work, plus she and the rest of The Four (Art history kids!) working in the Glasgow Style really tapped into art Deco before Art Deco was Art Deco…..Art Deco (once more for the hell of it.) I also love Erte’s work and Alphonse Mucha. Also Michael Parkes…I have a lot.

– What do you think of Comics being made into movies?: If they’re done right, then awesome (Iron Man, Avengers, Watchmen)….If they’re movies like DareDevil or Catwoman, kill it with fire.

– Has reading a Comic ever changed your life? Which one/why?: The trade of Deadpool vs. The Marvel Universe was the book that really got me into comics and to where I am focused in my career presently!

– If someone created a Comic about your life what would they title it?: “Yeah, Dude.” Haha, I say that so much, but it sums up a lot about me.

– If you could collaborate with anybody who would it be/why?: If I had a time machine, it would be Margaret, Mucha and Erte. Currently though, I’ve been hoping to team up with Chrissie Zullo on something neat, as well as Eric Canete,. Writer wise, Neil Gaiman or Keith Miller (The Book of Flying), Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost. All listed here have either art or stories that really resonate with me.

– Where there any defining moments in your life that have influenced your artistic style?: I was working as a sculptor for Hasbro for a few years after college. During a dry spell of work from them I decided, “Hey I can try to do this art thing on my own terms.” So after designing a dinosaur tattoo in Art Nouveau lines, I started doing other subjects in the same style and since then I haven been keepin’ on with that.

– If you could have any power from a Comic character, what would it be/why?: FLIGHT. Always wish I could do that since I was little, It’s why I hang glide. Though I think Mystique’s shapeshifting powers would be cool too. That way I could get flight AND fish abilities….without being lame like Aqua Man.

– Favourite Comic artist of all time/why?: I really like Adam Pollina’s work (Especially in the Angel origin trade), Kenneth Rocafort, Frank Cho & Ricardo Delgado (The Dinosaurs!) And Amanda Conner, All her ladies have such wonderful bedroom eyes.

– If you could steal one thing without consequence what would it be?: Just one? If I could, it’d be all the abused animals in every situation and giving them to good homes/ better accommodations. Impossible? Yeah probably, but reality wasn’t part of the question 🙂 And in that case, the set of the Tardis interior. I would Carmen SanDiego that so fast.

– What do you prefer to snack on when creating a masterpiece?: I usually drink a ton of tea when working, but cookies are nice. Nothing that I can really spill and mess up what I’m working on.

– Where do you ‘draw’ your daily inspiration from?: Daily inspiration comes from seeing what other artists post up on their social media, or a quick glance at Deviant art. Or if I’m watching a fun show on Netflix.

– What colour socks are you wearing?: Barefoot presently! Too hot for socks!

– Whats been your worst present?: A surprise party thrown for me and the party thrower took over our shared bedroom to makeout with a guy all night. Super Lame. Either that or finding my bunny murdered by my turkey when I was 8 or so. I swear that’s a true story.

– Likes: Hang Gliding, painting, karaoke, Doctor Who, Ghost hunting, Scottish Anything, tea, cool toonskies and a good time.

– Dislikes: CENTIPEDES and people who abuse animals. Ignorance too.

– Favourite joke: What’s the temperature inside of a tauntaun? Luke Warm.
