First, I want to start by saying this is a rumor exploding across the internet before everyone make poo babies in their own pants. Sit back and relax a bit. The original cast are all in this movie, at least if you saw the trailer from SDCC (which we did), we can confirm that the whole cast was there for the intro and outro of the trailer.

The current rumors flying about the Avengers “trilogy” have been running rampant. Notice that use of quotation marks for the word trilogy…because lately, we’ve run into a terrible trend of making a trilogy into a four-logy, essentially squeezing more money out of a franchise (not that I’m complaining too much, I can never complain about MOAR POTTERS). Apparently, this was also slighted for the Avengers films, however, the NEW word about town is that Avengers 3 will not actually feature their biggest characters, aside from Iron Man (RDJ for the contract renegotiation win). This will leave room for all sorts of crossovers with the television world and the rest of the Avengers crew. What we assume this means is that the main characters from the first movie are only in it for cameos, and will not have as grandiose roles as they might have had in the first one.

But looking back, Avengers 1 was mainly RDJ and Loki with some Hulk and Cap thrown about. The other characters were side notes anyways. The third Avengers film is supposedly meant to help springboard into another tangent storyline that WILL feature Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, and Hulk (they say nothing about Hawkeye). The reasoning behind it is that it will keep the actors’ contracts from ending too soon and keep our favorite Avengers within the Marvel universe for several more years. But if Cap is getting a 3rd movie and Chris Evans’ contract runs out after that one, do you think he will be back in Avengers 3? Or will he “die” and a New Captain take up his mantle? DUDE. SERIOUS MARVEL COMIC AND MOVIE WORLD COLLISION. These rumors come from Badass Digest.

Honestly..I’m not even mad. I friggin’ love Doctor Strange and Ms. Marvel..Ant-Man, we can talk but he is an arrogant genius and that grows on you. Making room for ALL the heroes!
