Awesome Con 2016 occurred this past weekend June 3rd to June 6th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC. The convention is in its fourth year in existence and has grown subtantially in its four years.
Founded by Ben Penrod and Greg Topalian the convention has grown to the point that it has been able to secure amazing guests such as Adam West and Burt Ward (Batman), Billy West (Futurama), Charles Martinet (Voice of Mario), Kevin Smith, David Prowse (Darth Vader), Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who), Jeremy London (Mallrats), Karl Urban (Star Trek and Dredd), Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Will Friedle (Boy Meets World and Batman Beyond) and Summer Glau (Firefly)
They also featured five cosplay guest this year including but not limited too:
