Guardians of the Galaxy is arguably the best Marvel film to come out in theaters. But it is not just the movie that everyone fell in love with. Everyone loves Awesome Mix Vol 1. We loved it so much that it actually spent 2 weeks at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Currently it is also the 10th largest selling album of 2014. The album has come out on everything BUT what we know it as which is a cassette tape.

Well on November 17 the cassette will finally be made available. This will be the first cassette that Disney has released since 2003. Thats crazy to think that even in 2003 we still had cassette tapes. Cassette will be sold on an extremely limited run until December 31, and while supplies last.

Director James Gunn has confirmed he’s already thinking about “Awesome Mix Vol. 2″ which will be included in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2‘ opening on July 27, 2017.
