An expertly photoshopped image of Christina Ricci as Morticia Addams from the Addams Family has appeared on the internet, and it’s causing quite a stir.

The image is originally a publicity still of Anjelica Huston as the Addams matriarch in the 90’s, now with a very grown up Wednesday Addams ‘shopped in her place. It seems to have come from Mystical Entertainment (tumblr). The photo isn’t making the rounds simply for the eye candy, no, sir. This image is full of possibility, of what could be, dare I say what should be. This is one of those ‘why didn’t I think of that’ moments. It’s so obvious that we’re all waiting for some impending announcement. Maybe this is the reboot we actually do want.

 

If you actually look though she REALLY resembles the original Morticia VERY closely!

Christina Ricci is already America’s goth sweetheart, stemming from her role in The Addams Family in 1991, Casper and now The Lizzie Borden Chronicles. Taking on the role of Morticia would be a natural progression for her, as well as the franchise. I, for one, would be for it. What about you? Let us know in the comments.
