You know where I’ll be hanging during this year’s comiccon? In line and waiting for Hall H and it looks like CCI is introducing a new system called Toucan Trackers where they hand out wristbands to those waiting in line for Hall H.

How Does This Work?

Wristbands will be handed out by the staff as attendees get in line for Hall H until 1am. Then I guess they go take a nap or something because they’re gone until 5am at which point they return and start handing out new wristbands from where they left off. That means that if your friend shows up after the 1am cutoff, they need to get in the back of the line and get their wristband.

There will be 4 wristband colors, each representing roughly a quarter of the 6,500 seat venue and when they’re out… chances are you’re not getting in to the first panel.

Just Because You Have Wristband, Doesn’t Mean You’re Getting In

Say what?

Yep, the wristband is only a place holder. It means that you’re probably getting into panel and lets you know where in line you stand and should hopefully cut down on line-cutters. After the first panel, however, entry will be on a first come/first serve basis like usual.
