Writer continued profile. Let’s get a tiny bit personal:

– What are your goals as a writer?: To craft stories that people can relate to while combining the more fantastical genres like superheroes, fantasy, and science fiction.

– Favourite writer/why?: Brian Michael Bendis. He helped me challenge myself into finding my own voice both as a fan of his work and as one of his students.
.
– Has reading a Comic ever changed your life? Which one/why?: X-men. It taught me how to read, but more importantly it taught me how people should treat each other.
.

– What do you think of Comics being made into movies?: I think it’s a great thing because it introduces many more people to the characters we all adore, which hopefully will lead them to checking out the source material. There are many movies that get the characters completely wrong, but aside from that it’s usually a good thing.

– If someone created a Comic about your life what would they title it?: Self-Deprecating Narcissist.

– Where there any defining moments in your life that have influenced your writing style?: The first time I read Mage in high school. I’d never seen a comic written in a deconstructed style before. It felt so cinematic and moved so fluidly. It was like I saw how the medium was meant to be used for the first time.

– Favourite Comic writer of all time/why?: Brian Michael Bendis.

– What do you prefer to snack on when writing a masterpiece?: I don’t think I snack while writing.

– Where do you get your daily inspiration from?: One of my best friends and artist Ibrahim Moustafa. The man is a creative tank that will take over the industry in a few years. His work ethic is something everyone should desire.

– If you could collaborate with ANYBODY, who would it be and why?: Joe Mad. He’s the first artist I fell in love with.
.
– If you were prime minister/ruler of the world what laws would you make?: I can’t make the laws, but the people can.

– What Comic Character would you assume has a really annoying habit/what habit?: I’m pretty sure Frank Miller habitually eats stray cats.

– If you could breed two animals together to defy the laws of nature what new animal would you create?: Duh. Turtles and humans.

– Likes: Stories, learning, rain, oceans.
.
– Dislikes: Whistling. Knock that shit off. You sound horrible. All of you.

– Favourite joke: Gambit.
