Joe Lynch’s latest film, an action/thriller centered on a woman (Salma Hayek) who faces assassins while holed up in her apartment.  Following so far?  Ok, good.

So Salma is being attacked by people sent by the mob, her ex, AND her boss.  The body count in the trailer alone is pretty high.  Rated R for strong bloody violence, torture, nudity, sexual images and language, this sure looks to be an exciting and bloodsoaked film.

If you’ve read our glowing review of Knights Of Badassdom, you know that director Lynch has worked with Emmy winning composer Bear McCreary on more than one occasion.  And really, who BETTER to compose a score centering around furious taiko drums?  You can read McCreary’s thoughts here on his blog, with surprises appearance by Henry Rollins.

First official (RED BAND) trailer here:

Everly will be released on iTunes January 23rd, and in select theaters February 27th.
