Flappy Bird was a mobile game that flashed across app store and popular culture for only a short while, but the game lives on as a GTA IV mod. Watch a man with a bird head flap over the streets of New York, which is most likely just your average every-day happening over there in the city next to Spiderman swinging around.

The mod shown is by modders “julionib” and “quechus13” who recreate the Flappy Bird experience with the addition of GTA’s unavoidable pedestrian casualties.

You can no longer download Flappy Bird, but you might like this version a lot better. The GTA IV mod takes the Flappy Bird concepts and really fleshes it out with a lot of sidewalk spatting. All the class sound effects are there and work perfectly.

Instead of making it through pipes, you have to jump on – and brutally murder pedestrians. Any interference by pavement or obstacles is an instant lights out to you and your hit counter.
