Ever wonder how Disney princesses celebrate their birthdays?  The same way we do, of course!  Except for the enchanted snowman eating all the cake, not too many of those running around this side of Arendelle.

Here are the first official images from the upcoming Frozen short “Frozen Fever” that will show ahead of Disney’s Cinderella in March, where Elsa, Anna, Christophe, Olaf and Sven are celebrating Anna’s Summer Solstice birthday:

The birthday plans go awry when the powerfully magic Elsa comes down with a cold on the big day. “Elsa doesn’t get a cold in the usual way,” says director Jennifer Lee. “She’s special. Surprising things occur that wreak a little havoc.  There’s a slight dorkiness to the painting, but it’s the best thing they could all wish for, just that ordinary family feeling.”
The original voice cast is returning for the short as are the directing team of Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez have penned a new song for Frozen Fever.

Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella opens on March 13th, 2015 and Frozen Fever will be shown with it.
