Guardians of the Galaxy is still playing in movie theaters in the United States and hasn’t even been released in theaters in some countries…but despite all that a release date for the Blu-ray and DVD has now been revealed.

Happy early holidays to us. According to a product listing on Amazon.com, Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in the United states on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Marvel Studios has yet to officially announced the Blu-ray and DVD release, so there is no information on extra bonus features as of yet aside from James Gunn already teasing some deleted scenes for the Blu-ray release, so we know there will be some. I personally am hoping a Digital copy will be released a few months earlier as seems to be the trend of late.

On Amazon.com, the Guardians of the Galaxy DVD is listed for $18.99, the Blu-ray is listed for $22.99, and the Blu-ray combo pack is listed for $24.99.
