It appears Avengers may have super-competition. Aiming to play catch-up, it looks like Warner Bros. is moving ahead with their heavy hitting DC comics Justice League of America. If this is possible, the studio is aiming for a 2015 release date, leaving some to wonder who will make the initial line-up. There’s the unavoidable prematurity of the Dark Knight, undermining the critically beloved and freshly closed Nolan Batman trilogy with an inevitable recasting of Bruce Wayne. Is next summer’s Man of Steel the first official phase one in the formula designed to bring about truth, justice, and box office bank? Playing the opposite role of Ang Lee’s Hulk, is the cinematic flop that was Green Lantern bound for an all-new rebooted emerald green construct? Will Aquaman make a splash or sink below deck? Not to mention…what of Wonder Woman and Flash, founding members of the League and some of the most in-demand solo superhero films yet to be ventured. Meanwhile at the hall of justice, we’ll be eagerly anticipating more information.
