John Wick was one of those movies that was pretty straight forward, man loses wife, man gains dog, bad guy kills dog and steals car, man goes out for awesome action packed revenge. It was what a video game adaptation to the big screen should feel like. Well, Keanu Reeves has confirmed his return for the sequel of John Wick.

As of now there is still no story line confirmed for the movie but executives told Variety they see the Wickverse as a “multiple-title franchise.” There seems to be a hint of an expanded universe to these movies much like the Avengers.

I’m all about a movie that is straight action, yeah sometimes story lines are cool but, a lot of the times it gets in the way. Movies like Crank, Expendables, John Wick, the story lines were minimal but the action was nonstop when it started. This was one of the movies where Keanu was not Neo he was John Wick. 

Sequels can make or break a franchise but keeping my fingers crossed for a good action movie.
