In today’s installment of  “things Alan Moore is yelling about”, FOX is going ahead with their reboot of the disastrous film, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Do you remember that movie?  It’s ok, neither do a lot of people.  Based on the graphic novel series launched in 1999 from Alan Moore (Watchmen, V For Vendetta, From Hell)  and Kevin O’Neill, the film starred Sean Connery as Allan Quatermain, leader of the League.  It also had Naseeruddin Shah as Captain Nemo (20,000 Leagues Under The Sea), Peta Wilson as Mina Harker (Dracula), Tony Curran as Rodney Skinner (The Invisible Man), Stuart Townsend as Dorian Gray (The Picture Of Dorian Gray), Shane West as Tom Sawyer (Adventures of Tom Sawyer), and Jason Flemyng as Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde (The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde).

This new reported reboot has John Davis on board to produce through his Davis Entertainment banner, Ira Napoliello and Matt Reilly are overseeing the remake Variety reports.

There is no word yet on who will be writing the script, nor who will be directing the final feature, but we’ll let you know as soon as news happens.  STAR THE FAN CASTING…….NOW!
