Having a discussion with a friend who is a little LGBT bias (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered), I was linked my first ever fully fledged Male on Male comic.

Husbands  The Comic itself is based on a TV series by the same name.

This is a Comic written by Brad Bell and Buffys(comics) writer Jane Espenson, inked by Ron Chan.

What I get from my Internet lurking is that Cheeks and Brady have been dating and wed drunkenly at Vegas (As you do….).  Instead of a divorce they decide to stick things out. They were a good couple, why would marriage not just strengthen this right? …… DUN DUN DUUUUNNN!!!! – The men receive a strange wedding gift that changes their lives chucking them into a series of random events.

Dark horse will be bringing this to you October 24th as a 6 part digital series.

 – As anybody with a search function and fingers knows, one does not simply google and find only what they are looking for. The wonderful world of Internets provided my mind with so much LGBT comic awesomeness I had to let you guys know about some more!  Strap yourselves in for a ride like you’ve never had before, or perhaps you have you kinky little eggs 😉

Starting with DC. – This rerun has made me sad, so very sad. I am one of those fans shaking their heads and wondering what the hell is going on over there. – I guess one of the main things to happen that made me >insert Jackie Chan wtf meme< is that Alan Scott (Green Lantern) is now gay. – When DiDio was faced with the question of making Alan gay he jumped on it like I would the 10th doctor (mmm Tennant). – Now now, put down those ”Ness is a queer hater” signs and bare with an explanation,  I am all for same sex relations and diversity (I am openly and realistically bisexual), but to mess with an existing character?…. NO! BAD DC! – The rerun has wiped his history, whatever will his 2 kids and wife think of these shenanigans?!

Onto the rival Marvel – They have taken on a same sex ….(bells ringing in the distance) WEDDING 🙂 In June 20 issue of Astonishing X-Men we see Northstar and Kyle take the leap. They have been a long term couple and I personally find it strange this wasn’t done earlier. – Not only is this the first same sex marriage, it is the first Human-Mutant marriage. – YOU GO DC! Break those barriers down! *shakes fangirl pompoms*

P Craig Russell  known for his artistic ventures such as  Batman and Killraven came out in an interview with The Comics Journal in ’91.  His sensitive extensive art has been a welcome spin on the harsher tones displayed by other artists over the years. – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P._Craig_Russell

Onto Curvy This is a Webcomic by Sylvan Migdal.
– A kind of a sci-fi meets Lesbian tripped out Comic about Anaïs Phalèse and her lover Fauna Lokjom.
This seriously looks like one of the oddest comics I have come across. It is very sexed up, but still realistic and within real life boundaries. – I am going to look into this one a little more for my personal collection for sure.

Diesel Sweeties – By Richard Stevens III. –  Wow, just, wow. – Furries, Gay robots, Gays in denial, Pansexualism and Bisexuals all rolled into one hilarious Comic. Awesome it is and 12yrs strong! (and Yoda I am).  – DieselSweeties.com.

Wandering Son By Shimura Takako – This Comic follows the friendship of a Girl who wishes to be a boy(Yoshino Takatsuki) and a boy who wishes to be a girl (Shuichi Nitori).  It has a honest storyline following transgender in all the seriousness other comics have either made a joke or something of a downfall  (Ranma 1/2) and they have catered to English only Speaking individuals with Fantagraphics  publishing it in English 🙂

Max and Lily – By Kris Dresen.- I could only find bits and pieces of this. What I did find consisted of a Tomboy Woman Max and a Girlish man Lily. They seem pretty cool and realistically crass, I hope to find more.

Tank Girl – By Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin.
6 words. I.will.never.be.this.punk. – She is completely sassy, borderline offensive and totally rank, and she isn’t sorry for one bit of it. Naturally badass in every way possible!

Girls with Slingshots By Danielle Corsetto. – A mixed up bag of all the LGBT you can eat.
People are not perfect, especially sexually. This Comic covers this on a very real lvl veering off on some unexpected tangents that support these characters are people not glorified stereotypes.

Apollo and Midnighter
–
From The Authority by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch.
They are a serious male couple version of Batman and Superman.
Changing the gay stereotype with style and heroism.

Alison Bechdel – Alison brings you Comics such as Dykes to watch out for which is hilariously awesome, even after 25yrs! Any LGBT or open minded reader will lap up all the contemporary work this entails. – http://dykestowatchoutfor.com/

– So this is about it for my toe tipping into the LGBT Comics world. – I have learnt a lot, even a new sexual genre (Pansexualism) and even found a few comics to add to my personal collection.

Big hi5 to those who branch out of the social normal and contribute toward Comic diversity. Keep up the good work, Alf and I bid you farewell and happy Comic’ing – Ness 🙂
