Mortal Kombat is a staple in the video game franchise world. The game is known and played by millions since its creation back in 1992. It is currently on its 10th installment with Mortal Kombat X, while the game has seen many variations it always had one idea in mind, kicking ass.
Mortal Kombat is also known to be one of the first series to include a bevy of badass female fighters one each stronger and more powerful than the next. The four most famous females from the game are Sonya Blade, Kitana, Mileena, and Jade. Jade first debuted back in Mortal Kombat 2 (1993)as an unplayable character. She could only be played as a pallet swap for Kitana. She was only first made playable in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. The storyline she was given was that of Kitana’s friend and confidante.
But now, with the help of the talented Maki Roll, Jade jumps out of the game and brought to life by this extremely talented cosplayer. Maki Roll has cosplayed other great female heroines including Gamora, Storm, and Catwoman just to name a few. Maki Roll when not cosplaying can be found lighting up the stage in one of her burlesque performances.
The vision behind this beautiful gallery is photographer Brian Maze. Maze Studios is one our main photographers and already has some incredible sets up on our site including a Super Sonico, Wonder Woman (bikini) and Nightwing (Gender Bender). Maze has worked with both big and smaller names but no matter the level of Cos-Famous the individual is he always gives them a beautiful gallery to go home with. So if you are a cosplayer be sure to check out Maze Studios and potentially book a shoot with him. You never know it might end up featured on our site as a result!
