Galactic treasure Mark Hamill sure hopes he’s DONE-done with the “Star Wars” franchise with the culmination of the Skywalker Saga in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” due out later this year.

His words, not ours.

The AP: Is this really going to be your last Star Wars appearance?
Hamill: I sure hope so. [laughs]
AP: Why?
Hamill: Well, because…I had closure in the last one. The fact that I’m involved in any capacity is only because of that peculiar aspect of the Star Wars mythology where if you’re a Jedi, you get to come back and make a curtain call as a Force ghost.

So, three things to take away from that.
1.) That Hamill “had closure” from “the last one” aka “Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the highly divisive film directed by Rian Johnson.
2.) That Hamill hopes he’s done with the franchise now.
3.) That Hamill will have an appearance in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” as a Force ghost.

“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” hits theaters on December 20th 2019, and you can catch Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky in the new “Child’s Play” movie which hits theaters on June 21st 2019.
