Netflix and Marvel debuted a teaser trailer for their critically acclaimed hit Daredevil’s second season. The trailer isn’t available online yet, so here is a description until it is:
Skipping over the beginning of the trailer, which is just scenes from season 1 with reviewer accolades peppered in, the real meat of the trailer starts as the words “Season 2 Coming 2016” appear on the screen. Then we see Hell’s Kitchen and Matt Murdock asks Father Lantom, “Father, why do I still feel guilty?” to which Lantom replies, “Guilt can be a good thing. It’s a call to action. An indication that your work is not yet finished.” All the while the screen flashes and we see a hospital, Claire Temple, Foggy, Daredevil and Elodie Yung’s Elektra putting on her mask.
Then there is a crime scene, a bullet casing, an x-ray image of a skull that looks very much like Punisher’s symbol, someone walking down the hallway of what looks like a hospital and finally the very recognizable back of Jon Bernthal as Punisher’s head. It cuts to black and he says, “Beg.”
Daredevil Season 2 is due out on Netflix in 2016.
