Steam’s weekend deals can be a thing of legend, offering spectacular games for super low prices, and often offer you a chance to get in on some independent titles that you might not otherwise look at.  For this, Steam, we salute you.  Here’s what’s on sale this weekend, so you don’t miss out!

A single and multi-player asymmetrical deathmatch from Digital Confectioners following in the footsteps of such games as Natural Selection, Aliens vs. Predator, and Damned!  Play as a shark or a diver and fight to survive.  It looks pretty good to be honest, with mostly positive reviews at the time of this writing, though sometimes the novelty of a game like this wears off quickly. I’m not going to lie, I really want to take on the role of Jaws and chew up a few pesky divers.

Darkest Dungeon

In Darkest Dungeon we get a turn-based roguelike RPG from Redhook Studios with the interesting twist of not only having to deal with monsters, but the stresses of adventuring.  Interesting art design, plenty of hero classes (10) and an interesting game mechanic beyond slashing monsters, I think I could be persuaded to pick this one up at 40% off.  Reviews are Very Positive and it is in early access so take that as you will.

Telltale Games Weekend!

The big sale is for Telltale Games publisher weekend, with up to 75% off their whole catalog.  Included in the sale is a collection featuring Game of Thrones – A Telltale Games Series, Back to the Future: The Game, and The Walking Dead to name a few of the 23.  If you haven’t played any of their games, now is a perfect opportunity to see what you’ve been missing, especially if you were ever a fan of adventure games. Telltale certainly knows how to tell a tale, so if you’re into story, these are the games for you, but if you’re into gameplay, there isn’t much to it and you may want to pass.

What do you think, what are you going to pick up on Steam this weekend? Tell us in the comments!
