Nintendo has been promising a new game in The Legend of Zelda series for Wii U for a while now. I’m not sure if it’ll be unveiled this year at E3 and frankly, I doubt it…but in the meantime one artist has taken the initiative to show us what it might look like.

Michael Eurek has recreated the Temple of Time from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 4. The video is set against Nathaniel Arnold’s music for a stunning look at what a high-powered Zelda title might look like.

Eurek says on his Vimeo page that he was inspired by a friend’s challenge to recreate an area from an old game in a new engine. The footage was captured from Unreal Engine 2 using other software like Maya, Z-brush, and Photoshop.

With Nintendo’s failing console and handheld sales, something that looks half this good would definitely be a win for the company.
