It seems lately like renewing shows ahead of their new season even airing is all the rage, and AMC is jumping on this bandwagon.  It was announced this morning that hit series The Walking Dead will indeed be returning for a 6th season in 2015.

As if another season of zombies and (hopefully) Daryl Dixon isn’t enough shambling dead for you, keep in mind the spinoff series The Walking Dead: Spread The Dead will be happening sometime next year too.

The Walking Dead‘s season 5 starts this Sunday, October 12th on AMC.
