Wow.  We’re still in a bit of shock over here, but it would appear that Michelle McLaren has abruptly exited the upcoming Warner Brothers Wonder Woman stand alone film.

The official statement released by Warner Bros. reads:

Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together.

Wonder Woman was reported to have a Fall 2015 shoot scheduled, working from a script by Jason Fuchs, and starring Gal Gadot.  There could be a possible rewrite, and other things are subject to change with McLaren’s departure.  This report comes to us from SlashFilms.

We will keep you updated as this story develops, and if/when a replacement director is announced.
