Writer continued profile. Let’s get a tiny bit personal:

– What are your goals as a writer?: To be able to entertain fans and make a living at what I love until my final day.

– Favourite writer/why?: Richard Matheson. He’s a master of his craft across the board. No one writer better establishes mood, location, time, and puts you into a characters mindset better than him. – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Matheson

– What do you think of Comics being made into movies?: I love it. No matter how old I get the kid in me is still geeking out seeing those characters I read as a child and adult come to life on the big screen.

– If someone created a Comic about your life what would they title it?: Where Monsters Dwell.

– Has reading a Comic ever changed your life? Which one/why?: I’d say reading Age of Apocalypse definitely did change my life. It turned me into a rabid X-men fan and collector which lead to me reading everything else which eventually lead to me writing comics for a living. So if there was one it would be that.

– Where there any defining moments in your life that have influenced your writing style?: My and my ex-wife’s past drug addiction lead to the creation of FLY. To this day I am still told it is the favourite work of many of my readers.

– Favourite Comic writer of all time/why?: It would have to be Bendis. No one does voices like him. The way his characters speak has a way of bringing them to life like I have rarely seen in the medium. – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Michael_Bendis

– What do you prefer to snack on when writing a masterpiece?: I don’t, but when I do Doritoes. Nacho flavour.

– Where do you get your daily inspiration from?: Life. Mostly horrible and tragic events that I can feed off. Sometimes I’ll find the good but most times writing is always a form of therapy.

– If you could collaborate with ANYBODY, who would it be and why?: I’d love to work with Eric Basaldua and Nei Ruffino on interiors together. Next to working with Jim Lee or J. – Is there a character in particular you would ”knock boots with”?: None of my characters, that’s for sure. They’re crazy.

– Why do superheros wear their underwear on the outside of their clothes?: Probably so people think twice before messing with them. As mentioned above they look kinda crazy.

– Likes: Writing, reading, comics, movies, tv, my kids, and my girl.

– Dislikes: Deadlines, country music, and editorial related stresses.

– Favourite joke: The one about superman walking around the bar. Classic.
