To be honest, when I first saw the trailer for this film I didn’t laugh. So you can imagine my thoughts when I see reviews coming out that all the funny parts are in the trailers. With so many actors I enjoy watching being in this, I hoped it should keep me entertained at the least.

Well when it came to laughs, I didn’t really laugh much throughout the film. Neil Patrick Harris’s character did provide a decent amount of laughs from me, but me being a Barney Stinson (How I Met Your Mother) fan might make me bias there.

The cast is great though. So many great actors really kept me entertained and wide awake at a late showtime where I could have easily knocked out. Even though I was a little unsure beforehand, Seth MacFarlane can carry a film as a leading actor.

The film also provides a few nods to things I like, one of them being the great Back to the Future gag I couldn’t believe the trailers ruined. Movie marketing is out of control.

Even though Ted (Seth MacFarlane’s previous film) is funnier, entertainment wise I find both films to be on par, but that could also be due to me liking Hollywood westerns, and we get so few of them lately. Probably because they don’t perform as well in box office.

Oh yea, as I suspected, stay after the credits.

I give A Million Ways to Die in the West a 7.5 out of 10

(Score based on school grading in which 10-5 mean A-F, and 5-0 lets you know how badly it failed, just to rub it in)
