Artist continued profile. Let’s get a tiny bit personal:

– What are your goals as an artist?: To keep on improving, of course, and to have the time and resources to keep trying out new styles and techniques and not just creating artwork to please a specific market, but more out of the pure love and desire to create what images and worlds that happen to pop in my head.

– Favourite artist/why?: Arrgh that is so hard. Too many good ones. I am a big fan of a painters from the Impressionist period, as well as many current artists, so it’s too hard for me to pin one down.

– What do you think of Comics being made into movies?: I’ve been enjoying them so far. The effects and everything definitely are matching up to the task. And I respect that form of visual art.

– Has reading a Comic ever changed your life? Which one/why? (If yes): Not sure if this totally counts as it was a comic strip. but I absolutely adore Calvin and Hobbes. I think it’s always a good reminder as I’ve grown up to keep remembering the importance of having an as active imagination as a child and not becoming too grown up 😛 Kids can have just so much fun with simple things cus they allow their imagination to take them to different worlds, which is often what happened in the Calvin and Hobbes books.

– Favourite Comic artist of all time/why?: Again.. can’t choose. There is too many out there that I appreciate differently for how they do different things. Some it’s the simplicity of their art work and some it’s the mastery of it. etc etc.

– If someone created a Comic about your life what would they title it?: Escaping realities.

– If you could have any power from a Comic character, what would it be/why?: Off the top of my head, I think I’d go for the regenerative powers that wolverine has. Cus I like sports and very active things, so it would be great to do crazy stuff and not get hurt 😛

– What do you prefer to snack on when creating a masterpiece?: Nuts, doritos, salty snacks.

– If you were to marry any Super Hero/Villain, who would you chose/why?: Batman, he just looks so good in black and I’d get to ride around with him in his Batmobile.. woo hoo!

– Have you ever tasted Vegemite? If yes, what did you think?: Yes I have, it’s not so bad, but I prefer Marmite 🙂

– Where do you ‘draw’ your daily inspiration from?: Well I often go and take a look through deviant art each day. It definitely motivates me to get drawing and improving or trying to come up with something special.

– You’re allowed to cook for one person in history, Who are you cooking for and what are you cooking?: It would be Cleopatra, and I’d make her an eclair (if you don’t know what it is, it’s French and yummy).

– Where there any defining moments in your life that have influenced your artistic style?: I definitely think exposure to comics affected it a lot, as before I did more pencil draws with shading, no movement and not really telling a story. But it helped me to see the fun in telling a story with your art, even if it’s just one picture.

– Likes: Good food, good wine, sports, Jacuzzis, travelling, drawing, creating, friends and family, and a good sci’fi book !

– Dislikes: People fighting, anger, hate, missing someone, emotional drama, melons. 

– Favourite joke: No, I can honestly can never think of a joke when asked 😛

– Any thank you’s/shoutouts?: Well thanks to Aggressive comics for doing this interview on me. It’s a first :P. Also anyone that has liked or encouraged me in my artwork and made it possible to do what I love.
