A lot more details have been surfacing for the new Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. During San Diego Comic Con the news came out that Jena Malone will be in this movie, but no details on what role she would be playing. Well according to three Latino-Review sources she is identified as Barbara Gordon.

Barbara Gordon is depicted as a career woman with a doctorate in library science, as well as being head of Gotham City public library, “presumably one of the largest public libraries in the DC Comics version of reality”. During the appearance in Alan Moore’s The Joker: The Killing Joke the Joker shoots and paralyzes Barbara in an attempt to drive her father insane, thereby proving to Batman that anyone can be morally compromised. Barbara Gordon, as both Batgirl and Oracle, has been adapted into various media relating to the Batman franchise, including television, film, animation, video games, and other merchandise.

We’re not saying you will be seeing Bat Girl suiting up, but with all the characters packed into this film, it’ll only make sense to introduce her. We also don’t know what role she will actually take Bat Girl or Oracle. The consensus I got from my peers is that they are glad we are not seeing her as Carrie Kelly.

Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to release March 25, 2016.
