17-wonder-woman-flashCW has been in talks to do a Wonder Woman series. BUT it seems that series has not been put on hold. CW’s President Mark Pedowitz said today their Wonder Woman pilot “Amazon” is being put “on pause” for the time being. “The script isn’t where we want it,” he said.“It’s better to wait and get it right.”

At the same time, while he is keeping Wonder Woman tied down with her lasso of truth, the CW is now planning on developing a Flash TV series. It seems that rather than focusing on a movie franchise Warner Brothers would be more satisfied making meh TV series about there beloved heroes. The character will be introduced in an upcoming season of “Arrow” and will then spin-off into his own series. Writers Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns spoke with The Hollywood Reporter and revealed the following.

“When we first meet Barry Allen, he’s just a forensic scientist … an ordinary man,” Kreisberg said. “Part of the fun for the audience … is to see how we view our Arrow take on the Flash legacy. Some of it will feel very familiar to DC Comics, some of it hopefully will feel different, fresh and exciting. The same way we approached Arrow is the same way we’re approaching Barry.”

They also explained that his appearance in the 8th and 9th episodes of the new season of “Arrow,” will work as a “backdoor pilot” for the series and focus mainly on Barry Allen.

Kreisberg left it by saying. “No sweat suits or strange code names; he will be The Flash.” which means we might see him in the iconic suit instead of a red hoodie.
