San Francisco gets very few Hollywood style red carpet events, and the most recent of these was the premiere for the upcoming Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes.  The pillars of the Palace of Fine Arts made for a spectacular backdrop for the stars and crew, fog machines and hidden speakers in the trees playing ape sounds made for an unforgettable experience.  Gary Oldman seemed to be in high spirits despite his recent issues with the press, Kerri Russell was beautiful, Andy Serkis apparently fell into his Gollum/Smeagol voice to the delight of children.

This gallery comes to us from Bill Watters:

The film opens worldwide on July 11th.
