This just in from a galaxy far, far away; reports indicate that Leslye Headland is currently working on a “Star Wars” series for Disney+, and that it’ll be a female-centric one.
According to the usual sources across the internet (Variety, etc.), Netflix’s “Russian Doll” co-creator, showrunner, and EP Headland will serve as writer and showrunner of this new story.
This “female-centric” series is said to take place in a “different part of the Star Wars timeline than other projects,” which of course could mean pretty much anything.
That said, who would you WANT to see be featured in a new show?
No word on if this’ll be a live-aciton vs animated project, but we’re guessing from Headland’s previous work that it will be live-action.
Clearly this is news is still developing. We’ll let you know what else we hear about this and other news from “Star Wars,” Disney+, and other pop culture interests.
